Charles, if you were to join me in my biz venture and to ensure you are on the right road to success I would begin on a more personal level. This may be a slightly different approach BUT I would never 'assume' that you:

1. understand marketing just because you are interested in a home biz.

2. that you would know how to set-up and use Facebook, My Space, Squidoo, Twitter, You Tube or any other social network to your advantage.

3. have the funds necessary to sustain you as you build your team.

4. know how to set goals and stay focused on a daily basis.

Instead, I would take the time to ASK YOU, and listen very carefully, to what it is you really need and what you need help with.
It is from here that we would set up your Action Plan for your journey to success. This will require that we work closely together until we are both sure you are good to go to spread your wings.

I would guide with instruction, giving you weekly and daily assignments to complete the areas you do not understand. (example: My space.set up and the correct way to use this social network)
Because it is very easy to become overwhelmed for any new marketer we would stay in close contact as we worked through the steps you need to take. Not via auto responded training but in person. One to one until you felt confident enough)

Training of exactly how the business works, comp plan etc. are important in your sharing with others so I would be sure we were on the available training calls together for the first two or three.

Believe it or not, the compensation plan, how the company got started etc. etc. is not the most important aspect of business. It is your determination and enthusiasm and how well you present YOU that takes priority. If you do not know how to conduct yourself marketing on the Internet and getting set up properly you are as good as 'sunk'.

And yes, as we all know, Your Success is ultimately my success. I must take the time to teach you, coach and guide YOU so YOU in turn will know exactly how to teach your team. A good leader leads by example.
